Reverend Al Danso is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. He is a 2005 graduate of Georgia State University, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Film & Video. For the past 20 years, Rev. Danso has served in the field of education as a special education teacher within the DeKalb County School District. His commitment to excellence in the classroom has been recognized through his receiving the Teacher of the Year award on three separate occasions.

Rev. Danso’s call to ministry was nurtured during his tenure as Youth Pastor at Stockbridge First United Methodist Church. During this time, he developed a passion for proclaiming the Gospel in ways that are relevant, thoughtful, and accessible to diverse audiences. He provided leadership for youth mission experiences in Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico, emphasizing spiritual formation through service and Christian community.
Prior to entering pastoral ministry, Rev. Danso spent over a decade as a professional DJ, sharing his gifts with audiences throughout Georgia. He often reflects on this season of life as preparation for the unique blend of energy, creativity, and connection that he now brings to the pulpit.

Rev. Danso has been joyfully married to his wife, Barbara, for 18 years. They are the proud parents of two children, Victoria and Robert. He currently serves as the pastor of Faith United Methodist Church in Griffin, Georgia, where he is committed to preaching the Word of God with integrity, shepherding God’s people with compassion, and leading the church in faithful discipleship.
